Curtin University in Perth (CU), Australia

Curtin University is a multi-campus university which was founded as the Western Australian Institute of Technology in 1967 and gained university status in 1987. Curtin's teaching and research is grouped into 5 faculties. Courses are delivered at several campuses and education centres throughout Western Australia, campuses in Sydney and Malaysia, as well as a host of international partner institutions. Curtin’s commitment to education underpins the University’s strategic focus, and is evidenced by the resources committed to educating Western Australia’s largest number of students: nearly 35000 students were located at the main campus in Bentley. Curtin continues to be recognized internationally in the Top 500 Academic Rankings of World Universities run by Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Curtin entered the ranking in 2009, and in 2011 maintained a national rank of 14–19.  The outcomes of the discipline-based evaluation of research excellence that was undertaken by the Australian Government in 2010, the Excellence in Research for Australia exercise were released in early 2011. This initiative highlighted research excellence at Curtin in disciplines such as earth sciences, chemistry, medical microbiology, pedagogical research and cultural studies.

Vast experience in Australian tertiary education, teaching Usability and Human Computer Interaction, Social Network, Sustainability and Green IT, Networking and Operating Systems. Doctoral research in Web development and Human Factors. Teacher of undergraduate and postgraduate units at the School of Information Systems focusing mainly on usability, human computer interaction, web 2.0, web 3.0, Cloud Computing, networking and operating system. Active participant in conferences on Human Computer Interaction, Internet. Member of an international conference program committee of the International IADIS conferences: Internet Technologies and Society, and International Higher Education an international.

Dr. Theodora Issa

Senior Lecturer at School of Management, Curtin Business School. PhD thesis on ethical mindsets, spirituality and aesthetics that has been the recipient of the EFMD/Emerald Outstanding Doctoral research award. Master of Business Administration, Master of Electronic Commerce and Master of Management Research. Areas of research interest: Web Design and Problem analysis (implementation of industry-based information systems projects); teaching, online teaching and learning, ethical mindsets, ethical climate, sustainable e-business development and ethical strategies, Green IT and cloud-computing. Active participant of conferences on ethics, teaching and learning. Recipient of best paper wars in 2009-2011. Awardee of The New Researcher of the Year prize of the Curtin Business School, Australia. Active publisher, member of editorial committees and governing bodies.
